If you’re wanting to minimize the space taken up by laundry products on your shelf, help the environment, and get your clothes clean in the simplest, least messy way, you’ll want to give TruEarth Eco-Strips Laundry Detergent a try.
This laundry detergent comes in an eco-friendly, cardboard packaging – no more big, bulky jugs to clog up your local landfill. You get thirty-two strips of detergent that you use by simply tearing off and throwing in the washer. Each strip dissolves in the wash and works in both hot or cold water. There is no measuring and no mess. Each strip is good for one load of laundry and can be used in standard or high-efficiency washing machines. They even suggest that if you have a smaller than full-load of clothes to wash, you can cut the strip in half, thereby possibly extending the number of uses you get from one package.
TruEarth wanted me to try their latest scent – the Lilac Breeze strips. I found them very easy to use and was delighted to see that just one package took up a fraction of the space that my bottled detergent did. The Lilac Breeze scent was very pleasant. Because the detergent is concentrated, the scent on the strip was stronger than it was once it had been diluted in the wash, so anyone concerned about it being too strong needn’t worry. I used a strip for a load using warm water and one using cold water and found that it cleaned both loads very well. I had never used detergent strips before this and now that I’ve tried this product, I doubt that I’ll ever go back to a liquid detergent. The strips also come in Baby, Fresh Linen, and Fragrance Free.
What is also great about this product is that it is vegan! These hypo-allergenic, paraben-free and phosphate-free detergent strips are additionally free of added dyes, and have not been tested on animals, nor do they contain any animal-based ingredients. With TruEarth Eco-Strips your conscience can be as clean as your clothes! Don’t have a washing machine? TruEarth states that you can use their strips to hand wash your clothes.
Substituting compostable cardboard packaging for plastic, having a vegan-friendly product, and also having a subscription service that donates 32 loads of laundry to front-line health care workers and food banks, makes this detergent and it’s company one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to help the environment while supporting a cruelty-free product, and those in need.
I am always happy to find products that not only fit my lifestyle, but do everything they can to make a difference when it comes to animal rights and the environment. The added social impact they have created through their donation program is just a wonderful icing on the cake.
